Project Overview

Live Wildly is a conservation nonprofit focused on building public awareness, engagement, and support for the Florida wildlife corridor and outdoor exploration across the state.

 

Social media played a central role in shaping the organization’s public-facing identity, communicating statewide initiatives, and connecting diverse audiences to conservation through compelling, accessible storytelling 

The Challenge

The challenge at Live Wildly is that things move fast. With startup energy and shifting priorities, flexibility and speed are essential.

My main focus was social media, but I often wore multiple hats—balancing events, graphic design, and content—while keeping projects moving forward.

Due to our small team, I had to teach myself strategy, more complex video editing, WordPress, and other essential skills.

Social Media Coordinator

  • Led social media strategy and execution across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Facebook

  • Planned and produced content, including captions, Reels, and graphics

  • Directed multi-platform campaigns for statewide initiatives and events

  • Monitored performance metrics to optimize engagement and reach​​

  • Collaborated cross-functionally to maintain consistent brand voice

  • Adapted quickly to shifting priorities in a fast-moving nonprofit environment

Monthly Events Roundup

In 2025, as social media shifted toward real-world engagement, I saw our community lacked a way to discover in-person Florida adventures.

 

I launched a monthly events roundup—researching events, connecting with locals, and building an email list—which became one of our most shared posts, attracting new followers and establishing a hallmark community resource.

Facebook Q&A's

One of my favorite highlights is my breakthrough when it came to engaging and connecting with our audience, and making sure wild Florida is front of mind. 

I'd regularly pose questions to our community, which were answered in droves, driving our engagement rate on Facebook up significantly.
